I have no talent in the kitchen, and am supremely unimaginative, but my husband is the exact opposite, and has come up with so many finds and hacks for easy meals, so I absolutely have to share.

Boom Boom shrimp

Huge fave with my picky eater kiddo! It’s easy to make her a rice + quinoa bowl, ghee, salt, and this! Sometimes I add sauteed veggies (bell peppers, mushrooms, onions with seasoning, sautéed in olive oil I link to below), and it’s an easy meal with minimal prep!

I personally smother this one in barbecue mayo and then I’m a happy camper.

Coconut shrimp

I am obsessed with this one – the coconut breading is so delicious – again, this shrimp is an easily prepared protein for rice+quinoa bowls or tacos.

Agedama-style tempura shrimp

I have not personally tried this one yet, but the reviews look fabulous! I have to say though that the ingredient list is more busy with emulsifiers etc than I’d like. Included it because some reviews said this was a picky-eater fave.

Olive oil Tapenade

Love love, love this! Great for punching up Mediterranean-style rice bowls (rice+quinoa as the base, add anything you want, like shrimp or other proteins and sauteed veggies)

My husband and I can’t do milk products anymore, so regular pizzas are off the menu. Instead, he does these amazing flatbreads with pizza dough as a base, hummus as the “sauce,” and then you spread some of this on and top with veggies, and it’s delicious.

When we have to get just these from Whole Foods, I order these and other things for home delivery (signed up for Amazon grocery for 9.99/mo, first month free trial), or you can just order for free pick up at your local Whole Foods!

Condiment squeeze bottles

My husband found these, and he uses these to whip up incredible sauces that can be stored and just used to easily punch up tacos or rice bowls or sandwiches. The design of these bottles is superb. I looked at some other options on Amazon and I think he picked well in selecting this brand from the competition.

My personal faves:
-Simple barbecue sauce and mayo mix – I put this on EVERYTHING
-Mix mayo with fancy herbed olive oil (See next link) and dried herbs.

You could also do a homemade cilantro chutney and store in these! He also does a version of the Taco Bell chicken sauce that he has promised me the recipe for at some point.

Fancy Olive Oils and Vinegars

This is a fantastic local store (you can try to find a local equivalent) that has these gorgeous artisanal olive oils infused with various combinations (think jalapeno- infused olive oil, or tuscan-herb infused) that we now use exclusively – regular olive oil from grocery stores is so vastly inferior in taste. This same store has a ton of balsamic vinegars that literally blow my mind – sadly balsamic vinegar gives me heartburn, but if I could, I’d be having it in my salads or on pizzas or many other things about 4x/week!
